As an intrepid adventurer in Genshin Impact, our journey brings us to these ruins to locate a control cabin. But the giant machine blocking the way has shut down long ago. To access the cabin, we‘ll need to reactivate the machine‘s energy system first. Easier said than done when its power sources and inner workings are locked away and hidden!
In this comprehensive guide, let‘s conquer the challenge together and restore power to the ancient machine. The desert sands shift to reveal secrets of the past, so ready your best adventuring gear and let‘s get started!
Introduction: Ancient Technology Awaits Exploration
Version 3.4 "The Exquisite Night Chimes" introduced the sprawling Desert of Hadramaveth, a brand new region filled with forgotten ruins, magical artifacts, and perils galore. Among the sweeping dunes lies a deep, underground complex built by an ancient civilization – and this is where our quest takes us.
We begin the "Dune-Entombed Fecundity" questline by entering these ruins, descending deeper through cobweb-filled halls and crumbling architecture. Strange mechanical noises echo in the darkness. At the very bottom level lies our goal: a giant, silent machine surrounded by illuminated pillars. This technological wonder used to power the entire complex, but it shut down ages ago.
To locate the control cabin and unravel more of the ruins‘ secrets, we‘ll first need to reactivate the machine‘s dormant energy system. Essentially, we need to jumpstart a giant, magical battery built by an ancient, advanced culture! Pretty awesome quest for us explorers – it‘s time to put our heads together and get this ancient tech running again.
Step 1: Locate the Three Power Diamonds
According to nearby murals and mechanics, this giant machine requires three orange colored diamonds placed in specific slots to reactivate its energy flow.
Our first task is tracking down these three diamonds somewhere in the upper ruins. Let‘s check out where each one is hidden:
Diamond #1: After taking the lift down and entering the ruins, head straight from the doorway to find the first diamond lying on the ground out in the open. Interact with it to add it to your inventory.
Diamond #2: Going north down the hallway will bring you to a sealed door. Place the first diamond in the nearby wall slot to open the door. Inside this room is the second diamond – grab it!
Diamond #3: The third diamond is behind another sealed door, this time southwest from the second diamond‘s location. Put both collected diamonds in the two slots on the left side of the door to unlock the third diamond inside.
With all 3 power diamonds recovered, we can now head down to reactivate the main energy system.
Step 2: Insert the Diamonds in the Machine‘s Slots
Retrace your steps back to the starting lift and select the option to descend to the lowest level again. Here, the giant machine patiently awaits.
Approach the front of the hexagonal-shaped machine and you‘ll notice 3 diamond-shaped slots built into its surface. Let‘s start feeding our collected diamonds into these slots:

Insert the first orange diamond into the left slot. You‘ll see energy start flowing through the machine.

For the second diamond, place it into the middle slot. More energy flows as the machine activates further.

Finally, put the third and last diamond into the right slot.
A cutscene will play, showing the machine humming to life as surges of energy travel through the illuminated pillars surrounding it. The ancient technology has been reawakened!
Claiming Our Reward: The Path to the Control Cabin
With the giant machine‘s core power system successfully reactivated, we‘re granted access to the control cabin!
A large doorway unseals at the back of the room, allowing us to proceed into the cabin where another character named Najima awaits. Our quest isn‘t done yet though…further restoration of the control room and ruins is still needed!
But getting the machine running again was the key first step, and we‘ve uncovered a bit more surrounding the history and purpose of this lost civilization. Reactivating ancient technology feels pretty cool!
