Getting Started with Alchemy
Let‘s start with a quick refresher on some key alchemy concepts in Alchemist Simulator for newcomers. The game does a good job explaining the basics in early tutorials, but as the studio expands things can get more complex!
Your goal as a novice alchemist is to extract essences from ingredients using processes like cutting, drying, and grinding. For example, cutting Heat from Coal or extracting Life essence from a Healing Herb. You‘ll start with basic tools like mortars and stills, and can upgrade to advanced versions to extract more potent essences.
Once you‘ve extracted these core essences, you can combine them through additional preparation and brewing to create potion effects. As you fulfill town orders, you‘ll earn gold to upgrade your studio‘s tools, furniture, stock, and recipes. A more advanced alchemy studio allows creating more sophisticated potions.

Healing Potions
What alchemist doesn‘t stock up on healing potions? These are some of my favorite restorative brews.
Minor Healing Potion
This standard healing potion recovers lost health and cures minor injuries. I always keep a batch on hand for emergencies!

- Extract Life essence from Healing Herb
- Combine extractions in a Mortar level 1

Strong Healing Potion
When minor potions won‘t cut it, upgrade to a strong healing potion. I drank this frequently when battling swamp creatures while gathering ingredients!

This powerful panacea potion will heal even the most grievous injuries and ailments. Brew it when only the strongest restoration will do.

- Crush Healing Crystal to extract Mending essence
- Distill Glacier Water to extract Purity essence

Resistance Potions

This potion will render you impervious to flames for a short time. Useful when hunting fire drakes!

This potion allows you to gently hover and float at low heights – lovely for peaceful sky gazing!

Liquid Luck Philter
When you need all the luck you can get, turn to my Liquid Luck philter – similar to the legendary Felix Felicis potion!

- Rabbit‘s foot
- Healing crystal

- Grind Rabbit‘s foot to extract Chance essence

Paralysis potions are powerful and useful for freezing foes. But use them responsibly!

This potion will temporarily paralyze whoever ingests it through crippling their motion.

- Black Oleander Petals

- Distill Venomous Snake Fang to extract Toxin essence
- Grind Black Oleander Petals to extract Numbness essence
- Combine Toxin and Numbness essences in Infernal Mortar

Petrificus Totalus Potion
For advanced paralysis, my Petrificus Totalus potion will completely freeze the drinker‘s body like a statue!

- Cut Death essence from Cockatrice Feather (carefully!)
- Combine Stony and Death essences in Condenser then Infernal Mortar

Alchemy Business Tips
Once you‘ve mastered brewing great potions, running a profitable alchemy studio requires additional skills. Here are my tips for managing your business:

Collect rare ingredients – Seek exotic components like phoenix feathers or healing crystals to brew specialty potions. Unique potions have high sale prices!

Fulfill requests – Check the town message board frequently and maintain a surplus of popular potions like Healing and Invisibility brews to satisfy requests. This boosts your reputation.

Price smartly – Consider ingredient costs and difficulty when pricing potions. Simple healing draughts sell from 50-150 gold. Complex elixirs can go for 500 gold or more!

Upgrade strategically – Focus first on upgrading stills and mortars to unlock new recipes and essences. Decorations can wait!

Balance brewing – Don‘t spend all your time fulfilling orders. Set aside days for creating new potion innovations too to maximize profits.
