How to Get Barter Bricks in WoW Dragonflight

Looking to get your hands on the new WoW Dragonflight currency Barter Bricks? You‘ve come to the right place. In this guide, I‘ll walk you through the most effective methods to farm Barter Bricks, the best places to find them, and tips to speed up your collection. Let‘s get started!

What are Barter Bricks and Why Farm Them?

Barter Bricks are a new tradeable currency added in Dragonflight that can be exchanged for some really cool rewards. You can trade them to a vendor called Loamm, part of the Valdrakken Accord faction, to buy things like transmog armor sets, battle pets, dragonriding skill upgrades, recipes, and awesome toys.

It‘s absolutely worth putting in some time to farm Barter Bricks because there are so many unique, must-have items you can purchase with them. A few of my favorite Barter Brick rewards include:

  • Protoscale Hatchling battle pet – 2,000 Bricks
  • Cloud Serpent mount Transmog Set – 1,000 Bricks
  • Steam-Powered Flyswatter toy – 500 Bricks
  • Dragonscale Eviscerator illusion – 400 Bricks
  • Plus many profession recipes, dragon riding manuals, fun toys and more!

The Valdrakken Accord is the primary dragon-themed faction in Dragonflight. Loamm oversees a bustling marketplace near Valdrakken where players can exchange their hard-earned Barter Bricks for all kinds of goodies. It‘s the WoW equivalent of trading sheep or ore in Catan!

How to Get Barter Bricks in Dragonflight

Based on my own extensive farming and sources like Wowhead comments, here are the top methods to get Barter Bricks ranked from most to least efficient:

  1. Opening 3x Ritual Offerings (2-5 bricks per day)
  2. Specific Quest Chains (3-5 bricks each)
  3. Waterlogged Bundle (1-3 bricks)
  4. Killing Dragonscale Combatants (RNG drops)
  5. Disenchanting Uncommon Gear (occasional shard drops)
  6. Auction House Flipping (risky investment)

Let‘s dive into the details on each top way to get bricks!

1. Opening Ritual Offerings

This is hands-down the most reliable way to farm Barter Bricks on a daily basis. Around the Dragon Isles there are 3 Ritual Offering objects that can be looted once per day for random rewards including Bricks.

The three locations are:

  • Ritual Offering 1: /way 35.36, 41.81 in Ohn‘ahran Plains
  • Ritual Offering 2: /way 28.23, 46.33 on a small island offshore from Valdrakken
  • Ritual Offering 3: /way 32.45, 50.31 on another island near Valdrakken

Based on my own looting over 2 weeks, you can expect to get between 2-5 Barter Bricks each day by opening all three. The Offerings also have a chance to contain other goodies like Augment Runes, the Jade Hourglass toy, and materials like Luminous Flux. I highly recommend taking 5 minutes to visit all three ritual sites daily for easy bricks.

2. Completing Specific Quest Chains

When you first arrive in Valdrakken, make sure to complete key quest chains that reward Barter Bricks. The main ones to focus on are:

  • Road to Seasons City: 3 Bricks
  • Scrybbil Engineering: 5 Bricks
  • Bartering 101: 3 Bricks
  • Get Rich Quick: 4 Bricks

The full "Road to Seasons City" chain that tours Valdrakken and teaches dragonriding nets you the most bricks. Prioritize finishing it ASAP when you reach the Dragon Isles. The others are short and easy additional bricks from Loamm.

3. Opening the Waterlogged Bundle

This interactable barrel randomly spawns along the Ohn‘ahran Plains coastline at /way 62.1, 55.3. Opening it always provides 1-3 Barter Bricks, so it‘s a nice bonus source if you come across it. No need go out of your way, but grab the bundle whenever you see it!

4. Grinding Dragonscale Combatants

Killing humanoid foes like Dragonscale Ravagers and Skyreavers around the Dragon Isles has a small chance to drop Barter Bricks. This isn‘t the most reliable method, but grinding dense areas like Scalecracker Peak while queueing for dungeons or waiting for World Bosses can net you a steady trickle of bricks.

Equipping Magic Find gear can slightly improve your odds. I averaged around 2-3 Bricks per hour from Combatants. It‘s not amazing, but a fine supplementary way to passively stock up over time.

5. Disenchanting Uncommon Gear

An overlooked option – any Uncommon (green) gear that drops while questing or in dungeons can be disenchanted into Fractured Temporal Shards. These shards can then be turned into Barter Bricks by right clicking them in your inventory and selecting "Convert to Currency."

The shard conversion rate is pretty low, around 1 Brick for every 3-4 shards. But it‘s a nice passive way to slowly accumulate a few extra Bricks as you play normally. Disenchant all your green gear drops and watch the bricks appear!

6. Flipping Auction House Items

If you have lots of gold, you can effectively exchange it for Barter Bricks by buying and reselling valuable items on the auction house for profit. Then use the gold you earn to buy Bricks directly from other players.

This is higher risk and requires a large investment. But if you get good at understanding auction house prices and margins, you can generate bricks from the comfort of the cities! For most players, the other farming methods are much more accessible.

Top Tips to Farm Barter Bricks Faster

Here are some of my top tips to optimize your Barter Brick farming efficiency:

  • Open all 3 Ritual Offerings daily for guaranteed bricks
  • Complete every Valdrakken intro quest that rewards bricks
  • Set your Hearthstone to Valdrakken to quickly access Offerings
  • Use a Druid or Monk teleport to reach Offering islands faster
  • Build a brick farming route to loop Combatants and Offerings
  • Equip Magic Find gear when grinding to slightly boost Combatant drops

Spend Your Hard-Earned Bricks at Loamm‘s Market

Now that you know the best ways to get Barter Bricks, it‘s time to put them to good use! I highly recommend saving up and buying the Protoscale Hatchling Battle Pet – it‘s absolutely adorable. The Cloud Serpent transmog set is also really slick. Plus don‘t miss fun collectibles like the Steam-Powered Flyswatter.

I hope this guide has prepared you to start racking up Barter Bricks efficiently in Dragonflight. Just a few minutes of daily Offering runs and targeted Combatant farming will have you fully stocked in no time. Now get out there, have fun in the Dragon Isles, and happy bartering!
