By Hacking the Patrolling Wheelson Robot
- Wheelson robots patrol around the castle perimeter
- Destroying one will allow you to hack its remains
- Successfully hacking the Wheelson will open the front gate
- Note: hacking produces noise to alert guards!
By Finding a Rare Tsuki Castle Key
- Keys randomly drop from eliminated AI, loot crates, etc.
- Equip a Castle Key to instantly access the front gate
- Keys are consumables, so a limited resource
Once you‘ve breached the exterior wall, you‘ll have to fight your way through the castle grounds to reach the interior keep. There lies the Tsuki Castle Hideout, which itself requires a key or breaching to enter.
After that point, you‘re in the home stretch! Locate the stairwell leading upwards through the tower to the top floor, where the Bombmaker awaits. Of course, he won‘t give up his Weapon Case easily…
Loadouts & Strategy for Defeating the Bombmaker
Here are some of my top tips for actually taking down the Bombmaker himself based on experience:
- Use explosives/FMJ ammo to damage through his shield cover
- Equip cold-blooded to counter automated turrets
- Flank him from multiple sides to negate his shield
- Watch for suicide bomber enemies that rush you
- Focus fire to burst him down quickly
- Beware explosives like mines around the room
Ideal Squad Composition:
- Assault – Flanks and breaches with SMG/AR
- Medic – Keeps team healed with armor/stims
- Support – Rain firepower with LMG or sniper overwatch
- Breacher – Lead push with shotgun and lethal equipment
Weapons:
- RPK for shredding armor
- SP-R for peek shooting the boss
- Frag grenades to bombard him
Perks:
- Explosive resistance
- Scavenger for ammo
- Cold-blooded to counter turrets
- Quick Fix for rapid healing
Lethal Equipment:
- Frags to flush out guards
- Flashes to stun Bombmaker
- Deployable cover for positions

Extracting Safely with the Weapon Case
Once you finally eliminate the boss, he will drop the coveted Ashika Island Weapon Case containing those sweet blueprint rewards. But your job isn‘t done yet! You need to successfully extract from DMZ with the Case still in your inventory to permanently unlock the blueprints.
Trust me, after all that effort, you really don‘t want to die and lose the Case before extracting. Here are some tips:
- Pop smoke at your extract site for cover when evac arrives
- Plan an exfil route avoiding combat zones
- Travel light to move fast in case you‘re chased
- Get to extract ASAP before enemies intercept you
- Have squadmates cover your extraction point
Follow those steps, and the Bombmaker‘s prizes are as good as yours! Having a solid extract plan is just as important as defeating the boss himself.
Ashika Island – DMZ‘s New Playground
Before hunting the Bombmaker, it helps to understand the context of the all-new Ashika Island map he resides on. Ashika is the headlining addition brought with Warzone 2‘s second season, replacing the original Al Mazrah.
