Unfortunately, the materials for crafting magic pockets are scarce. You‘ll need to farm special items like mystic fragments and enchanted herbs, which only spawn in select locations in Sumeru and Fontaine.

To craft each Mystical Enhancement Pocket, you‘ll need 20 Mystical Fragments. These unique crafting materials come from mining Rich Mystical Ore deposits found around Sumeru and Fontaine.
Here are some of the best spots to farm Mystical Fragments, along with tips to maximize your haul:
North of Sumeru City
This area along the cliffs north of Sumeru City has the highest density of Rich Mystical Ore deposits. Make sure to bring a Sumeru Treasure Compass to track even more down.
I‘d recommend forming a team with a Claymore character like Itto or Noelle as your main miner, plus three Dendro characters like Collei, Dendro Traveler, and Dori.
The three Dendro will trigger Bloom reactions, creating harvestable Seeds of Skandha that yield additional Fragments. Itto and Noelle‘s sweeping attacks also make mining the deposits super quick!
With this setup, you can expect around 30-40 Mystical Fragments per 20 resin worth of runs.
Mausoleum of King Deshret
The caves beneath the Mausoleum hide tons of Rich Mystical Ore deposits along their walls. A powerful AoE Pyro character like Yanfei or Yoimiya makes short work of the dangerous enemies here while also mining efficiently.
Bringing a shielder like Zhongli lets you focus on charging the ore without dodging attacks. Geo Traveler is great too – their Elemental Skill provides more mining damage!
Running this area for 20 resin will net you approximately 25-35 Mystical Fragments
River Banks North of Lokapala Jungle
The rocky river banks here are ripe with mystical ore. This is where having an Anemo character like Venti, Kazuha, or Sucrose shines.
Group the enemies together with their Elemental Burst, then switch to a powerful single-target DPS like Ganyu or Hu Tao to take them all out at once.
This allows you to quickly mine along the river undisturbed. Anemo‘s crowd control makes collecting way faster.
With an Anemo crowd-control setup, you can gather around 20-30 Fragments per 20 resin.
Harvesting Enchanted Herbs for Elemental Mastery Pockets
For amplifying your elemental reaction damage, the Elemental Mastery Pocket reigns supreme. At max refinement, it provides a whopping 240 Elemental Mastery!
Crafting each of these valuable pockets requires 30 Enchanted Herbs though, so be prepared to get farming. Let‘s look at efficient spots to harvest these herbs.
Fields Outside Bykko Village
The grassy fields stretching outside Bykko Village are ripe with Enchanted Herbs for the picking. Bring along an Electro character like Fischl, Lisa, or Raiden Shogun to help harvest them.
Target the herbs with Electro attacks or Elemental Skills to Spread Dendro onto them. This causes additional herbs to generate that you can pick up for bonus harvests.
An Anemo support like Heizou helps gather the extra herbs quickly with his crowd control skills.
With an Electro/Anemo setup, you can expect approximately 40-50 Enchanted Herbs per 20 resin spent here.
Riverbanks North of Les Couronnes
Searching along the riverbanks north of Les Couronnes is another herb hotspot. This area is crawling with strong swordfish enemies, so a powerful Freeze team can help lock them down.
I suggest Ayaka, Shenhe, plus hydro applicators like Xingqiu and Yelan. Freeze the enemies while Ayaka‘s Alternate Sprint swiftly gathers the herbs!
Expect to grab around 30-40 Herbs per 20 resin with a Freeze comp.
Islands of Lake Lacus
The islands of Lake Lacus host the highest density of Enchanted Herbs in Fontaine. Bring a long-ranged DPS like Ganyu or Tighnari to snipe enemies from afar while gathering.
Anemo supports are amazing here too for spreading Electro and pulling in the extra herbs. An Agnihotra Sutra from Dendro Traveler provides Pyro for even more Spread reactions.
You can obtain roughly 35-45 Enchanted Herbs per 20 resin spent on these islands.
Crafting Your Magic Pockets
Once you‘ve farmed up enough materials, it‘s time to start crafting! Here are the recipes again:
Mystical Enhancement Pocket:
- 20 Mystical Fragments
- 20 Netsuke no Gen
- 50,000 Mora
Elemental Mastery Pocket:
- 30 Enchanted Herbs
- 20 Olden Days
- 50,000 Mora
You can craft pockets at any crafting bench – I prefer using the one at Sumeru City, since I‘m often nearby farming fragments.
I recommend crafting at least 5 of each pocket type to start. This lets you fully refine one to max level while saving spares to shuffle between characters.
Later on, I‘d advise stockpiling at least 50 fragments and 80 herbs. This lets you craft new max refined pockets quickly when a new character needs one.
Just be warned that the mora cost scales rapidly when mass producing pockets! Crafting ten Mystical Enhancement Pockets will run you 500,000 mora. Make sure you‘ve saved up your coins before going on a crafting spree.
Maximizing Your Magic Pockets

However, be careful not to overwrite buffs that don‘t stack. The Elemental Mastery Pocket won‘t work with 4pc Instructor‘s EM share for example. Read each effect closely.
