The Chamber of Danger is the fourth and most difficult room in Escape Simulator‘s Labyrinth of Egypt game pack. As an avid fan of the growing escape room genre, I was instantly drawn to the Egyptian-themed puzzles and cryptic hieroglyphics throughout this room.
According to Escape Simulator‘s Steam page, Labyrinth of Egypt contains over 75 puzzles spread across 9 unique rooms. The attention to detail in bringing ancient Egypt to life is fantastic – you really feel like you‘re raiding a pharaoh‘s tomb!
Now, the Chamber of Danger itself lives up to its ominous name. The intricate visuals immediately give off a feeling of mystery. According to the backstory, you‘re deep underground searching for a powerful ancient relic, which leads you to this heavily trapped chamber.
Your survival instincts will be tested by the array of creative puzzles built around Egyptian mythology. With 5 puzzles to solve, the Chamber of Danger currently ties for the most puzzles in a single Labyrinth of Egypt room.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Camel Puzzle
Immediately upon loading into the Chamber, your eyes will be drawn upwards to the imposing camel sculpture on the right wall. Below it sits a dusty notepad – be sure to snatch that immediately, as it contains clues you‘ll need for this first puzzle.
The notepad depicts a camel, sun, and scorpion in different positions, representing the puzzle‘s three moveable pieces. Your goal is to shift them into the exact positions shown on each notepad clue.
There are 3 stages you must complete sequentially:
- Move the camel right, sun middle, scorpion middle
- Move the camel middle, sun right, scorpion right
- Move the camel left, sun left, scorpion left
Get each stage precisely aligned according to the notepad, and a red ball will fall to the floor.
This puzzle immediately immerses you in the Egyptian theme with its hieroglyphic symbols. I love the layered design – adjusting the wall pieces to match the notepad drawings is brilliant. The incremental challenge of adding more moves per stage also ramps up the difficulty nicely.
Collect that red ball – you‘ll be using it very soon!
Memory Game
For the second puzzle, turn your attention to the right wall, where you‘ll see six circular buttons lined up vertically. Five buttons are etched with different Egyptian symbols, while one is a plain gold button.
This is a classic memory game where you must press the buttons in the proper sequence to unlock the cage below.
The sequence is:
- Middle button with human + dog symbols
- Left button with human + bird symbols
- Right button with just a human
Press them in that exact order to release the black ball from the cage.
I really enjoy memory and sequence puzzles like this which test your observation and recall. The symbols tie in nicely with the Egyptian theme. Starting simple and then extending the sequence over multiple stages would add even more challenge!
Pyramid Puzzle
This next puzzle has you really thinking outside the box – or should I say, inside the pyramid!
Pick up the miniature pyramid from the ground near the center of the room. You‘ll notice an empty pyramid-shaped slot on the left wall to place it in.
Inserting the pyramid activates the puzzle. The objective here is to identify the missing symbol inside each of the four on-screen diamonds.
Take note of the symbols visible inside each diamond:
- Diamond 1: Leg, triangle container, square
- Diamond 2: Owl
- Diamond 3: Knife
- Diamond 4: DNA strand
You need to find the pyramid piece with all of those symbols, and the one missing is the symbol you need to enter.
After some deduction, the solutions are:
- Diamond 1: Pyramid (missing symbol)
- Diamond 2: Owl
- Diamond 3: Knife
- Diamond 4: DNA
Input those in order to unlock the cage and grab the golden ball inside.
The interlocking mechanics of this puzzle blew me away. It was so satisfying to put the clues together and realize the pyramid itself contained the answers. Brilliant design!
Wind Puzzle
Moving on, it‘s time to utilize some of the items we‘ve collected so far.
Find the blue ball under the round device on the back wall. You should now have 4 colored balls in your inventory: red, black, golden, and blue.
Place each ball into the circular holders on the device. Your goal is to position the balls so they levitate in a straight line across the middle.
Through trial and error, the correct order is:
- Black ball
- Red ball
- Golden ball
- Blue ball
Much like a game of perfection, maneuvering the balls into position takes patience and precision. Once everything is properly aligned, hit the golden button to lower the central chamber containing a mirror.
I found this to be one of the more challenging puzzles in the room. The physics of getting the balls to balance feels great, especially when they all click into place. Very satisfying!
Maze Puzzle
Just one puzzle left between you and your escape! Take the mirror you acquired and place it in the square floor slot at the room‘s center.
Doing so triggers a rotating maze puzzle to appear. The maze has three concentric rings labeled outer, middle, and inner.
You must rotate the rings to guide the path through each layer and connect it with the three beetle icons spaced around the edges.
I strongly recommend starting from the outer ring and aligning it to all three beetles before moving inward. Keep rotating and double-checking until the path is cleared straight through each layer.
Completing the maze will finally unlock the Chamber‘s exit door and allow you to claim victory!
This maze brought back fond memories of playing Labyrinth marble mazes as a kid. While not overly complex, visually lining up all three rings to clear a path felt very rewarding. A great climax to escape the chamber!

In terms of length, the Chamber falls on the longer side, taking me around 30-40 minutes to fully complete. This provides a hefty challenge compared to escape rooms with just 3-4 puzzles.
With 9 rooms in Labyrinth of Egypt, plus 11 rooms in the base Escape Simulator game, there is tons of variety to experience. Features like adjustable difficulty, hidden collectibles, and workshop support for custom puzzles also add tremendous replay value.
