Escape Simulator The Elevator Walkthrough

Escape rooms and puzzle games have become hugely popular in recent years. Games like Escape Simulator scratch that itch to solve intricate puzzles and find hidden clues. The Elevator room in Escape Simulator‘s Omega Corporation pack provides a challenging test of logic, spatial reasoning, and attention to detail. As a long-time escape room enthusiast and gaming streamer, I‘m going to fully walk you through how to crack The Elevator room with this complete guide.

Introduction to Escape Simulator and The Elevator

For those new to Escape Simulator, it‘s a game available on PC/Mac that simulates highly-detailed real-world escape rooms. Developed by Pine Studio, there are currently 4 Escape Simulator titles with multiple rooms per game. The Elevator is included in Escape Simulator: Omega Corporation.

Omega Corporation presents a mysterious sci-fi setting centered around a shady tech conglomerate. Across 10 rooms, you‘ll unravel the corporate conspiracies within Omega Corp through clever puzzles and hidden plot details.

The Elevator is the fourth room in this story. You start inside an elevator on the 7th floor of the Omega Corp building. Through cracking codes, solving visual puzzles, and finding hidden clues, you‘ll collect key parts to ultimately assemble the key to escape.

Here‘s an overview of the puzzles you‘ll need to solve:

  • Braille Keypad
  • Elevator Floor Pattern
  • The Space Between
  • Omega Corporation
  • Blue and Red Squares
  • They Went Missing
  • Assembling the Final Key

Let‘s dive into how to solve each section! I‘ll provide images and step-by-step instructions to help you escape The Elevator.

Detailed Walkthrough

Braille Keypad Puzzle

When you start on the 7th floor, look above the keypad on the wall. You‘ll see 4 Braille symbols – one colored red, and three white. The red symbol can be ignored – you only need the three white ones.

To decipher them, look at the Braille letters next to each floor number button. Match the symbols above the keypad to the same symbols next to the floor numbers.

Here are the solutions:

  • First white symbol matches the Braille by floor 6
  • Second white symbol matches the Braille by floor 7
  • Third white symbol matches the Braille by floor 4

So your keypad code is 6-7-4. Input those numbers to get the first key part!

Braille Keypad Puzzle

Elevator Floor Pattern

For this visual puzzle, head to floor 6. Grab the mop by the elevator doors and use it to clean the floor, revealing a pattern of circles.

Your goal is to consolidate the blue dots into specific circles, like so:

  • Bottom right circle: All blue dots
  • Bottom left circle: Two blue dots
  • Middle circle: Four blue dots

Carefully click and drag each blue dot into position based on the image above. This will unlock the next key part for you to collect.

Solving non-linear spatial puzzles like these engages a different part of your brain than logic or word puzzles. I actually find visual pattern games like this one quite satisfying once you crack the solution!

The Space Between

Go down to the 4th floor for this section. The hint says:

"Much can be learned by observing the space between our thoughts."

This clue indicates you‘ll need to find a clue outside the elevator itself. Here‘s how to solve it:

While riding the elevator down toward floor 2, look carefully out the window. On the exterior of the building, you‘ll briefly see a 4 digit number displayed – 2680.

Once you reach the 4th floor again, input 2680 into the keypad. The number was in the "space between" – outside the elevator. This will give you another key part.

Subtle environmental puzzles like this reward playing attentively and scanning the full room. Escape games teach observation skills that sharpen your focus!

Omega Corporation

On floor 4, look above the hint button to see a poster with the word "CRANE" in large letters.

Press the elevator buttons to spell out C-R-A-N-E. You should now have 2 key parts in your inventory. Insert both into the Omega Corporation logo slot to receive the third key part.

Blue and Red Squares

This puzzle takes a bit of button finesse. Rapidly press the 2nd floor button three times in a row, then quickly press -1.

This will take you to a hidden floor. Look at the ceiling – there‘s a triangle and an X symbol. Click the blue and red squares on the walls to reveal more symbols.

Your goal is to only reveal Omega logos. Refer to this image for the precise order to press the squares:

Pressing the correct squares in that pattern will unlock another key part for your collection.

They Went Missing

Head to floor 0. There you‘ll find a cryptic note:

"They went missing on the way down.
7
?
?
?
-1"

This refers to missing floor numbers between 7 and -1 (the basement). Looking at the elevator buttons, the missing numbers are 5, 3, and 1.

Input 5-3-1 on the keypad to receive the final key part. Almost there!

Assembling the Final Key

At this point, you should have all 5 key parts in your inventory. Take the central piece and drag each part onto it to assemble the completed key.

Insert this key into the slot beneath the floor buttons to unlock the elevator and complete your escape!

Additional Tips and Hints

Here are some extra tips to help you conquer The Elevator:

  • Examine all clues, notes, and artifacts carefully – don‘t miss hidden details
  • Pay close attention to your surroundings and the environment
  • Try different button combinations methodically if you get stuck on a section
  • Look outside the "box" for clues in unexpected places
  • Take your time and think through each puzzle logically

With patience and focused observation, you‘ll be able to assemble all the key parts and unlock the elevator. Let me know in the comments if you need any help on specific puzzles! I‘m happy to provide more tips to push you toward the escape.

The Value of Escape Rooms and Puzzle Games

Now that you know how to beat The Elevator room, let‘s discuss the benefits of games like Escape Simulator overall. Why are digital escape rooms so popular nowadays?

Mental Exercise – These games flex your logical problem-solving skills. You‘re forced to interpret clues, find hidden connections, and think creatively.

Teamwork – Multi-player escape rooms encourage communication, dividing tasks, and collective intelligence.

Attention to Detail – Finding small clues and subtleties in the environment trains observational skills. You learn where to focus your attention.

Memory Improvement – You must memorize facts, recall previous clues, and hold information in your working memory. Great mental workout.

Stress Relief – Puzzle games provide mental immersion. Like meditation, they make you live entirely in the moment.

Beyond just being fun, puzzle and escape room games have measurable cognitive benefits. They satisfy our human need for problem-solving and meaningful challenges. The gamification keeps your brain engaged.

In fact, researchers have created "escape room therapy" for dementia patients. The puzzles use multiple areas of the brain and create new neural pathways. One study showed 89% of dementia patients improved their motivation and human connections through cooperative escape rooms.

So don‘t feel guilty about "wasting time" on games like Escape Simulator. Like physical exercise, regularly exercising your brain has scientifically-proven benefits. It helps stave off age-related cognitive decline. Plus, it‘s fun!
