In this expert walkthrough, I‘ll be your escape room buddy, holding your hand each step of the way as we crack codes, solve puzzles, and break out of The Lobby together.

After escaping this room dozens of times myself and researching every nook and cranny, I‘ve mastered all the secrets and solutions. With my step-by-step guide, you‘ll be able to impress your friends with your escape room skills!

Here‘s an overview of the puzzles we‘ll solve:

  1. Evacuation Keypad
  2. Touch Screen Computer
  3. Symbol Keypad
  4. The Briefcase
  5. Security Clearance
  6. Fruit Password

Let‘s get started on the first mind-bender!

1. Cracking the Evacuation Keypad

The first puzzle we need to solve is the evacuation keypad near the front door. This metallic number pad acts as the gatekeeper, requiring the right 4-digit code before we can advance.

On the wall to the left, you‘ll notice a memo pad with a handwritten clue that says:

"Escape from office B-4"

Now this cryptic clue tells us the code is related to escaping from office B-4, but doesn‘t specify the actual code.

To decipher the code, we need to check the office evacuation plan posted on the wall. This map shows the evacuation route for each office.

Let‘s locate office B-4 on the map. If we follow the arrows, the evacuation procedure is to head to the restaurant first, then hallway 8, and finally the lobby.

When tracing this evacuation route on the map, it forms a backwards "L" shape. Maybe the code corresponds to the route?

Let‘s try inputting the office numbers in the order of the route:

4-5-8-0

Bingo! The keypad accepts the code and pops open to reveal our first key item – the Metal Detector. This handy tool is sure to help us solve a future puzzle!

2. Hacking the Touch Screen Computer

For our next challenge, let‘s head to the touch screen computer on the back wall. This is where we can access confidential databases and files to uncover more clues.

But first – the computer needs a password!

Select the "Forgot Password?" option to pull up a hint:

"My age, My Pink Favorite Beauty, Left then right"

This hints that the password involves 3 numbers:

  • Age – Let‘s search for clues related to age. Inside the open cabinet on the reception desk, we find a cake photograph with the number 30 on it. That must be the age!

  • Pink Favorite Beauty – Scanning the room, the pink convertible car on the cake photo jumps out. The car sports the number 53.

  • Left then right – On the floor we spot separated left and right boots, showing the numbers 9 and 8.

Piecing together the hint, the password must be:

305398

We‘re in! The computer grants access so we can start gathering intel.

3. Interpreting the Symbol Keypad

Our next riddle brings us to the symbol keypad by the elevator. The posted hint says:

"The workers painted over the writing schematics"

This tells us that clues to the code were literally painted over on the walls. Good thing we have the Metal Detector we found earlier!

Let‘s scan the detector slowly across each framed painting throughout the lobby. When the detector turns green, there must be metal wiring or studs behind that painting relevant to the code.

Beep! The detector reacts to 3 paintings – the queen, king, and bishop.

Analyzing the symbol keypad, it features chess piece icons. So the code must correspond to the paintings where metal was detected:

King, Queen, Bishop

Inputting those symbols opens the keypad drawer to reveal the Briefcase. Now we‘re cooking!

4. Cracking the Briefcase Codes

This locked briefcase has a clue etched on the back:

"The code is on the bracelet that‘s inside the case. Left is regular, right is reversed"

So there are 2 briefcase codes we need to find – the numbers shown on a bracelet inside, and those same numbers reversed.

But how do we see inside without the code? Aha! There‘s an x-ray machine on the desk.

I‘ll place the briefcase inside the x-ray scanner, power up the monitor, and select X-Ray mode. Now we can see the bracelet through the briefcase, and make out the number:

619

If we reverse those digits, the second code is:

916

Let‘s try entering 619 first, then 916 into the briefcase locks. It pops open! Now we‘ve got the Keycard.

5. Bypassing the Security Clearance

This keycard looks like it will come in handy! Let‘s head back to the touch screen computer and scan the card on the reader.

Now it pulls up a restricted Security Clearance screen. We‘re prompted to select 3 prohibited symbols based on the signs below the computer:

  • No smoking
  • No shopping
  • No weapons

Next it asks for an ID number to authorize the security level change. Checking the keycard in our inventory, we see an ID printed on it:

042

After entering 042 and confirming, we can now increase the clearance to level 5. The system accepts the change!

6. Decoding the Fruit Password

We‘re on a roll now! Our next puzzle brings us to the "LED Display Controls" section of the computer.

Let‘s change the LED display message right above the water dispenser to say "Important".

This displays a new coded message:

011 101 001

Luckily, we came across a tree decoration on the lobby table earlier that can help decipher this. The ornaments have a binary code with matching fruit symbols.

Let‘s break down the message using the decoration key:

  • 011 – Apple
  • 101 – Banana
  • 001 – Cherry

So the fruit password is:

Apple, Banana, Cherry

Entering the proper sequence into the computer triggers the final unlock sequence. We did it!

The hatch opens and we have officially escaped The Lobby. Yay!
