- Ordering the Animal Statuettes
- Solving the Slider Puzzle
- Directing the Beam of Light
- Identifying the Constellations
Follow along closely with my guidance below and you‘ll escape from The Top like an expert. Let‘s do this!
Orienting the Ankh Symbol
When you first enter The Top, you‘ll notice a large Ankh symbol inside a sand globe right in the center of the room. This eye-catching object is Puzzle #1 that we need to solve.
The goal here is to rotate the Ankh symbol until its pattern of stripes and dots matches the solution.
Now, from my experience with Escape Simulator, the specific pattern you want here is a vertical stripe on the top or bottom of the Ankh with two dots evenly spaced on either side.
So go ahead and click on the Ankh symbol to rotate it in the globe until you have this exact pattern oriented properly. You‘ll know you have it right when a switch emerges right next to the globe.
Go ahead and pull the switch down to officially complete the first puzzle. Nice work! With the Ankh sorted out, let‘s move on to…
Matching the Symbols on the 3 Globe Boxes
After solving the Ankh, you‘ll notice three new sand globes rise up from the floor around you. Each of these globes contains a cube inside with symbols on all four sides.
Your goal here is to rotate the symbol cubes until their symbols match the hieroglyphic symbols shown on the two structures next to the globes.
Specifically, here is the combination for each of the three globes:
Globe 1: Eagle symbol, triangle pot symbol, bowl symbol (matches left structure)
Globe 2: Triangle pot symbol x2, lion symbol (matches right structure)
Globe 3: Person symbol, eagle symbol, square pot symbol (matches left structure)
Once you match all three cubes properly, stone knobs will be revealed inside Globes 1 and 2. Make sure you grab both of these knobs – you‘ll need them soon!
Nice job matching those symbols. Let‘s keep up the momentum and tackle…
Arranging the Pyramid Statues
For this puzzle, you need to arrange a set of pyramid statues in the correct order.
First, take the two statue pieces you find on the ground over to the pyramid wall puzzle. Insert one of the stone knobs you just acquired into the slot here.
Rotating the knob will cause two more pyramid pieces to emerge from inside the wall. Now you need to place all four of these statue pieces onto the floor pedestals nearby.
But here‘s the catch – the statues must go in a specific order based on their size/shape to solve this puzzle.
After some trial and error, here is the correct left-to-right order:
- Tallest pyramid statue
- Shortest pyramid statue
- Short pyramid statue
- Tall pyramid statue
Arranging the statues this way will cause pillars to rise up from the ground, giving you access to a new section of the area for more puzzle solving!
Ordering the Animal Statuettes
Moving right along, this next puzzle also involves arranging statues in the right configuration. But this time, it‘s a set of four animal statuettes.
You‘ll find the first statuette next to the fire. Take it over to the statuette wall puzzle, insert a knob, and rotate it to make three more statuettes emerge.
Now check out the hieroglyphic above the statuette wall – this shows the correct left-to-right order to place them:
- Facing right statuette
- Facing straight statuette
- Facing left statuette
- Facing straight statuette
You can rotate the statues with the spacebar before setting them down. Get them in the proper order to raise more helpful pillars. Awesome job!
Cracking the Slider Puzzle
This one‘s a bit trickier. You‘ll see a wall with five movable stone sliders on it. In the background, there are images of structures carved into the far wall.
Your objective is to shift the sliders around until they match the exact order of those structures.
Through some experimentation, here is the left-to-right solution:
- Pillar statue
- Jagged pyramid statue
- Smooth pyramid statue
- Sphinx statue
- Pillar statue
Carefully slide each piece into the proper position to recreate this order. Match them up correctly to cause more pillars to emerge. You‘ve got this!
Directing the Beam of Light
We‘re nearing the end! Next up is a stone structure with a beam of light shooting out from it.
In this puzzle, you need to manipulate the beam so it illuminates each of the triangle symbols on the structure‘s face.
Specifically, the goal is to match the beam pattern shown in the illustration below the puzzle.
Use the control sticks and diamond button to move the beam up, down, left, right, and split it when needed. Take your time and light up all the triangles in the correct way.
Once you match the pattern perfectly, you‘ll know the puzzle is solved when the sky transitions to a nice orange color. Amazing job guiding that beam of light!
Identifying the Constellations
This is the final puzzle before escaping this epic room. Look up at the sky – you‘ll see it‘s filled with glowing constellations.
Now check out the four pillar structures around you. Each one displays two constellations.
Your goal is to choose the four constellations shown on the pillars that also appear in the night sky.
Through some night sky scanning, here are the solutions:
- The Y-shaped constellation
- The long, swan-like constellation
- The kite-shaped constellation
- The S-shaped constellation
Selecting these specific constellations will activate the exit portal, allowing you to escape The Top!
You Escaped The Top – Congratulations!
And that does it for all the major puzzles in The Top – great job sticking with it and completing this tough final escape room! I hope this walkthrough clearly guided you through each step so you were able to progress smoothly.
