Hey friend! Let‘s Track Down Farbauti in Tower of Fantasy

As a long-time fan of anime-style action RPGs, I‘ve been totally immersed in Tower of Fantasy ever since it launched. There‘s so much to explore in the post-apocalyptic planet of Aida – cool weapons to collect, crazy vehicles to craft, and powerful bosses to hunt down. One Aberrant I‘ve become intimately familiar with is the deadly Behemoth known as Farbauti. After farming this rock monster for hours, I‘m ready to share everything I‘ve learned about locating and defeating Farbauti for some epic loot!

Welcome to the World of Tower of Fantasy!

For those just starting their Tower of Fantasy journey, here‘s a quick primer on this amazing game. Tower of Fantasy was developed by Hotta Studio, who expertly blended MMORPG mechanics with open-world exploration, stylish action combat, and gacha-style progression.

Players step into the shoes of a Wanderer rescued from cryosleep years after the Omnium Bombardment devastated planet Aida. Now it‘s up to you to master the high-tech powersuits known as Simulacra to battle corrupted creatures, explore sprawling biomes, and gather resources to rebuild civilization.

There‘s tons of activities to pursue – customize your Simulacra loadouts, upgrade weapons, farm materials, craft vehicles, decorate your home, roleplay with friends, and most importantly, take down menacing bosses known as Aberrants. Speaking of which, let‘s talk about the intimidating rock monster Farbauti!

Pinpointing Farbauti‘s Location on the Map

Farbauti is one of the Behemoth-type Aberrants that spawn in various high-level zones. This lumbering granite golem packs a punch with devastating AoE attacks and heavy damage. Based on in-game lore, Farbauti was originally designed for excavation and construction purposes before the Cataclysm caused it to go berserk.

Our rocky friend wanders the mountainous region southeast of the Navia Omnium Tower. Using the in-game coordinate system, Farbauti patrols between the following waypoints:

X axis: -125 to -134
Y axis: -760 to -770

I‘ve highlighted the patrol zone on this map below:

Getting to Navia Tower is critical, as activating it will reveal key areas of the map needed to track down Farbauti. Its spawn area sits just beyond the tower‘s initial circle of exploration at the edge of the map. I‘d recommend completing main story missions until Navia Tower is unlocked before hunting this Behemoth.

Sizing Up Farbauti – Stats and Battle Strategy

Now that we know where to find Farbauti, let‘s breakdown what it takes to actually defeat this formidable Aberrant and claim some sweet rewards.

Farbauti is classified as a 4-star tier boss with a recommended Combat Rating (CR) of at least 7,500. At lower CRs, Farbauti‘s pulverizing attacks will crush you quickly. Here are its known stats:

Health: 280,000
Defense: 65%
Attack: 550-950

Weakness: Volt Damage
Resistance: Physical Damage

To take down Farbauti efficiently, you‘ll want to pack Volt-type weapons like Samir‘s Pistols or Crow‘s daggers to penetrate its rocky armor. Maintaining distance is also crucial – Farbauti‘s pillar shockwaves and meteor strikes can instantly KO you if caught inside their radius.

I‘d recommend a squad composition with at least one Shieldbreaker like Samir, one tank like King to absorb hits, and a healer like Cocoritter to keep everyone healthy. Peppering in Frost or Flame damage provides supplemental element coverage too.

Here are some key tactics I‘ve learned from battling Farbauti dozens of times:

  • Keep moving to avoid its AoE attacks

  • Watch for it to flash its blue eye – that precedes a Meteor Strike!

  • Use your dodge iframes to pass through pillars unharmed

  • Stay mid-range so you can react to all its moves

  • Save your Discharge for when it‘s stunned to unleash big damage

With some practice, you‘ll be able to conquer this Behemoth in no time! Now let‘s go over the shiny loot it drops.

Farming Farbauti for Rare Materials and Rewards

Farbauti has a chance to drop some incredibly useful (and rare) materials for upgrading your equipment and crafting new omnium-technology weapons and vehicles. Here are the notable drops:

Item Drop Rate % Usage
Omnium Beast Right Arm <1% Craft Omnium Beast Vehicle
Rockcore 5% Weapon/Armor Upgrades
Heart of Summit 3% Ice Weapon Upgrades
Navia Gear 15% Common Material

The ultra-rare Omnium Beast Right Arm blueprint has less than a 1% chance to drop, but it allows you to create the awesome 4-seater Omnium Beast mount with boosted stats and lightning attacks!

You can also expect various Weapon and Armor Prototypes from Farbauti, along with a big chunk of EXP to level up. All in all, this Behemoth is worth farming if you want to gear up quickly. Speaking of which…

Optimizing Your Farbauti Farming Route

While getting those rare loot drops from Farbauti takes patience, here are some tips to optimize your farming runs:

  • Use a timer to track Farbauti‘s 10-15 minute respawn rate

  • Farm in a loop between Navia Tower and its spawn point

  • Play co-op to speed up takedowns and apply buffs

  • Equip drop rate food buffs like Spaghetti to boost rare loots

  • Server hop after killing to force quicker respawns

  • Use waypoints to fast travel back after collecting loot

Based on community data, you can expect to defeat Farbauti over 100 times before the Omnium Beast Right Arm finally drops. So bunker down for the long haul and bring some friends! Having a diverse team will make the grind more fun and efficient.

My Epic Battle Against Farbauti – A Wanderer‘s Tale

Let me tell you about the time I first challenged Farbauti with my crew. We partied up with two Shieldbreakers, a Frost Tank, and a Healer and headed to its location, amped to score some rare gear. Little did we know what we were in for!

Right away Farbauti started pelting us with boulders and shockwaves, chunking half our health bars. We valiantly peppered it with Suppressive Fire and discharged our Ultimates, but barely made a dent against its sturdy frame.

Suddenly it reared back and meteors started raining down, annihilating us in one shot. Only Cocoritter‘s healing field kept us from a total party wipe. For our next run, we tweaked our elements and positioning, eager for payback.

The rematch was epic – we dashed and dodged its attacks in unison, taking turns holding aggro while our Shieldbreakers whittled down its armor. With milliseconds to spare, we delivered the final barrage of attacks and felled the mighty Behemoth. The loot was sweet, but the satisfaction of overcoming adversity as a team was the real reward!

Analyzing Farbauti‘s Origins and Mythological Symbolism

Farbauti has some intriguing connections to Norse mythology that give deeper meaning to this Aberrant‘s presence in Tower of Fantasy. In Norse legends, Farbauti was the father of Loki and associated with lighting and storms.

The Tower of Fantasy version of Farbauti manifests these electric powers with its pulsating shockwave attacks. And its penchant for destruction echoes Loki‘s chaos-loving tendencies.

As one of the primordial giants in Norse lore, Farbauti‘s towering size and strength also align with its role as an imposing Behemoth. Uncovering these mythological links adds a new dimension to battling this Aberrant.

Parting Words of Wisdom from a Seasoned Wanderer

And there you have it – everything you need to start your journey of locating and defeating Farbauti to reap those sweet, sweet materials it drops. My best advice is to:

  • Assemble a versatile crew combining DPS, tanking, and heals
  • Memorize its moves and tells before going for the gold
  • Pack plenty of Volt damage and shieldbreaking potential
  • Don‘t neglect dodging and evasion – stay on your toes!
  • Be patient and persistent – glory comes to those who persevere

I hope these tips help you strategize for success against this lethal granite golem. Good luck fellow Wanderer – may your farms be fruitful and your loot be legendary. Keep climbing those Towers and mastering those Simulacras. A powerful destiny awaits!
