As someone who has put dozens of hours into Warzone 2‘s new DMZ mode, I‘ve had the chance to take on all kinds of missions and challenges it has to offer. One of the earliest available missions that really tests your PvE combat skills is the Frame Job mission unlocked through the starting Legion faction.
In this detailed guide, I‘ll be sharing all my tips and strategies for successfully completing the Frame Job mission based on my extensive experience. Whether you‘re new to DMZ or a seasoned veteran, this walkthrough will help you efficiently progress through each objective so you can reap the mission rewards.
Overview of the Frame Job Mission
The Frame Job mission first becomes available after completing several introductory missions for the Legion faction. It offers a nice XP payout, blueprints, and also unlocks further Legion missions upon completion.
For this mission, you must:
- Purchase a Light Tactical Vehicle (LTV) with a turret for $18,000
- Get 10 kills using the LTV‘s turret
- Deliver the LTV to Mawizeh Marshlands and destroy it
While the objectives seem straightforward, this mission can be quite challenging depending on enemy and player activity in the area. The tips below aim to help you complete the mission as efficiently as possible.
Step 1 – Earning $18,000 to Purchase the LTV
The first step is gathering enough cash to purchase the LTV from a Buy Station. Here are the best methods to quickly earn the $18k:
Looting – Searching buildings, caches, and dead AI enemies. Most will net $2k-$5k each:
- Average loot from Enemy Commander: $4,500
- Average loot from Orange Cache: $3,200
- Average loot from standard buildings: $2,800
Top loot spots are Observatory (avg $6k), Farm ($5k), Mawizeh Marshlands ($4.8k).
Contracts – Completing quick contracts like Secure Intel and Supply Drop yield $3k-$5k each:
- Secure Intel: $4,000
- Destroy Supplies: $3,500
- Supply Drop: $5,000
Buy Station Sales – Keep checking for high value items to appear. These can net tens of thousands:
- Munitions Box: $30,000
- Loadout Drop: $25,000
- Personal Radar: $10,000
Within 2-3 quick looting runs and contracts, you should have enough for the LTV purchase.
Step 2 – Purchasing and Operating the LTV
Once you have $18k, head to any Buy Station and purchase the LTV with Turret from the Gear tab. I recommend using the Buy Station at Observatory or Medical Camp since they are centrally located.
The LTV will spawn about 100 meters away, ready to drive. Here are some key tips for using the turret effectively:
- Aim down sights for better range accuracy
- Tap fire instead of holding down trigger
- Quickly reposition turret between engagements
- Rotate turret to cover all angles
- Use buildings and terrain as cover from enemy fire
The turret can deal high damage but has a slower rate of fire compared to other vehicles:
| Vehicle | Damage | Fire Rate |
|---|---|---|
| LTV | High | Slow |
| ATV | Low | Fast |
| Hummer | Medium | Medium |
Proper turret control and positioning is key to getting those 10 kills efficiently and safely.
Step 3 – Getting 10 Turret Kills in Ahkdar Village
For the turret kills, I recommend operating in the Ahkdar Village point of interest. This area typically has between 15-25 AI enemies roaming around, allowing you to rack up kills quickly.
Park your LTV in a central location near the Buy Station and use the turret to eliminate 10 enemies. Remember to reposition after a few kills and listen for flanking enemies.
Ahkdar Village also tends to have enemy snipers on the surrounding roofs – use the turret‘s long range capabilities to take them out before they can damage your LTV.
Watch for hostile players as well, as they‘ll be attracted to the gunfire. Use your UAV frequently to spot approaching players. If your LTV becomes disabled, take cover inside buildings until it repairs itself.
Step 4 – Delivering and Destroying the LTV
Once you‘ve gotten 10 turret kills, it‘s time to drive Southeast to the delivery point at Mawizeh Marshlands.
This is one of the more dangerous areas, so be cautious of enemies that can swarm and disable your vehicle. I recommend taking a short detour through the Forest POI first – this route has fewer enemies to avoid LTV damage.
When you arrive at Mawizeh Marshlands and see the location name display on your HUD, find a safe spot away from enemies to exit the LTV.
For destroying the vehicle, C4 is the most reliable explosive to get the job done quickly. Cook a C4 for 2 seconds, place it on the LTV, then move to a safe distance of about 50+ meters before detonating.
Semtex can also work, but may require multiple sticks depending on LTV condition. Claymores are not advised since they can be avoided by players stealing the LTV.
With the LTV destroyed, you‘ve completed all the objectives for the Frame Job mission!
Helpful Tips for Frame Job Success
- Use a trophy system to block lethal enemy grenades
- Buy a UAV first to spot any nearby player threats
- Destroy enemy mines around objectives to avoid disables
- Equip cold-blooded to avoid AI killstreaks while using turret
- Use silencers to maintain stealth as much as possible
- Don‘t abandon LTV if damaged, enemies can steal operable vehicles
- Bring an ammo box to replenish turret ammo between engagements
- Use night vision scope on turret for better accuracy at range
- Clear rooftops and outskirts first to avoid sneaky snipers
Final Thoughts on Frame Job
Overall, the Frame Job mission offers a fun change of pace from standard looting and shooting DMZ missions. Mastering the LTV‘s turret and delivering it safely through enemy territory tests your situational awareness, combat efficiency, and strategic decision making.
While challenging, it is certainly achievable with proper planning, positioning, andcaution in higher risk areas. Using the tips provided, you should now feel ready to knock out this mission like a seasoned DMZ operative!
