Complete the Prerequisite Main Story Quests

Vera will not unlock until you progress up to a certain point in the main story questline. Here are the key prerequisite quests you need to complete first:

Chapter 27: Amidst Chaos – This story chapter has you meet Claude in Warren Snowfield and investigate abnormal dimensional readings.
Chapter 28: A Twist of Fate – Work with Zeke in Warren to track down the source of the anomalies.
Chapter 29: Into the Fray – Get ambushed by Viporeons while investigating dimensional activity with Sam and Crow.

Once you finish Chapter 29, you‘ll unlock the subsequent quests to enter Vera. I‘d recommend being around level 70-75 before starting this arc.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough to Unlock Vera

Follow these steps to unlock access to the Vera map:

1. Teleport to Astra Omnium Tower

Open your map and fast travel to the Astra Omnium Tower point. This is the starting hub for the main story quests.

2. Select "Go to Hykros"

Interact with the navigator NPC right near the fast travel point. Choose the option that says "Go to Hykros."

3. Head Northwest to Claire‘s Location

Once you‘ve loaded into Hykros, check your mini-map – you‘ll see a quest marker for Claire northwest of your location. Set a waypoint and make your way towards that marker.

4. Initiate the Quests to Unlock Vera

A short cutscene will play where Claire explains abnormal dimensional activity has been detected in an area called Vera. She needs your help investigating. This will start the Vera unlock quest chain.

5. Complete the Terminal Investigations

Claire will give you three quests to check out dimensional terminals across the map. Each one will have you battle enemies and interact with the terminal.

The locations are:

Sonorous Sands
Warren Snowfield
Crown Mines

Fight through the enemies at each site and interact with the terminal when prompted.

6. Return to Claire and Interact with the Orange Portal

Once you complete the third terminal investigation, return to Claire in Hykros. An orange portal will now be floating near her. Interact with it and select "Go to Vera Sector" to enter the portal.

7. Arrive in Vera and Collect Your Achievement!

After the short cutscene, you‘ll arrive in the streets of Vera! You‘ll also get a notification that you received the "Go to Vera" achievement for unlocking the new area.
