Early in your studies, you‘ll be tasked with getting to the bottom of a potential goblin plot brewing right under the noses of the Hogwarts professors.
This guide will provide everything you need to successfully investigate the goblin presence during your first year at Hogwarts. I‘ll walk you through how to trigger the initial goblin discovery, tactics for battling goblins, and tips for uncovering their full conspiracy as you progress through the game. The Story Behind the Goblins
To understand the goblin threat in Hogwarts Legacy, you need to know a bit about their history. Goblins have long been an important part of the wizarding world. These magical creatures are known for their skills in smithing and banking. According to legend, they forged the sword of Godric Gryffindor himself!
However, wizards and goblins have also experienced tensions and conflicts throughout history. The goblin rebellions of the late 1700s were sparked by goblin demands for wand rights and greater equality. These rebellions soured relations between the species.

Starting the Investigation

- Ignite goblins with Incendio to deal bonus fire damage
- Down a Focus Potion to slow down time and make targeting easier
- Keep moving and use Agile Dodging to avoid their quick slashes
- Yank them close with Accio then pummel them with strong spells

- Max out Focus Potions and Down Time talents to optimize damage windows
- Prioritize Confringo, Incendio, Bombarda to exploit goblin weaknesses
- Gear with high Fire Damage and Goblin Damage bonuses
- Use Venomous Tentacula or Mandrake plants to craft strong poisons
- Learn Accio and Depulso for crowd control against swarms
- Train up Shield and Disarming Charms to counter their tricks
