Now let‘s get into the characters!

Shaggy (Bruiser)

Known for his endless appetite and superhuman strength when angered, Shaggy is an fitting addition to the Multiversus roster. As a Bruiser class character, Shaggy dishes out plenty of damage up close using his fists and feet.

A neat aspect of Shaggy‘s kit is his ability to dig up consumable food items like sandwiches to regenerate health or throw at opponents. His charged rage mode boosts Shaggy‘s power to frightening levels too. Just watch out for his vulnerability when whiffing heavy attacks.

LeBron James (Mage)

Straight out of Space Jam, the king of the court LeBron James brings his basketball skills to Multiversus. As a Mage, LeBron relies on his projectile basketbal to rack up damage from a distance. It takes precision aim to get the most out of his ball toss move.

For finishing blows, LeBron can leap in the air and brutally slam the ball down onto foes. He also passively generates more balls over time, giving him great stage control. Mastering LeBron‘s b-ball skills takes dedication but pays off.

Iron Giant (Tank)

Don‘t let his massive size fool you, Iron Giant can have trouble dealing with quick combos. However, when played right Iron Giant is an unstoppable force thanks to his health pool and devastating attacks.

His cannonball ability allows Iron Giant to rocket across the stage, while a charged punch can obliterate groups. Just beware of being juggled in the air. Use his down special shockwave judiciously to create space. Overall, a tricky but hard-hitting Tank.

Taz the Tasmanian Devil (Wildcard)

As his name suggests, Taz is a chaotic wildcard in Multiversus. He forgoes weapons or projectiles, instead relying purely on his razor-sharp teeth and whirling tornado attacks. Taz‘s moveset is simple but surprisingly effective.

By spinning enemies into tornados, Taz can rack up damage then turn foes into eggs with his neutral special. However, skilled opponents can exploit his limited options. Taz is best played aggressively, overwhelming enemies through speed and bites.

Velma (Support)

The brains of Mystery Inc., Velma utilizes gadgets and abilities that empower teammates in Multiversus. She can fire a projectile beam that attaches to allies, giving them buffs when it hits enemies.

Velma‘s down special drops a trap that ensnares foes, letting her capitalize with combos. She can also find clues on the stage reveal enemy locations periodically. Overall, a cerebral Support pick that enables coordinated teams.

Wonder Woman (Tank)

Hailing from Themyscira, Wonder Woman plays as a more agile Tank in Multiversus. Though not as hardy as Iron Giant, she moves faster while still able to take tons of punishment. Wonder Woman excels at close range with her combination of punches, kicks, and sword attacks.

Her Lasso of Truth not only brings enemies directly to her, it can kill at high damage thresholds for easy KOs. She can also summon a shield bubble to defend allies and herself. A versatile warrior, Wonder Woman dominates through offense and defense.

Arya Stark (Assassin)

This deadly assassin from Game of Thrones utilizes her sword and daggers to swiftly take down foes. As an Assassin class, her moveset allows Arya to combo enemies while remaining evasive.

Using her face swap ability, Arya can copy the look of enemies to confuse and disorient them briefly. Her grounded up special launches Arya into the air where she can rain down throwing knives. Arya lacks raw power but more than makes up for it with speed and combos.

Batman (Bruiser)

The Dark Knight stalks his prey as a Bruiser in Multiversus, combining gadgets and fisticuffs. His batarangs and grappling hook allow Batman to control space and pull off impressive combos.

Though not the heaviest hitter, Batman can rack up damage using aerials and his cape stun attacks. His smoke bomb provides stealth for getaways and surprise attacks too. Batman takes skill to master but delivers satisfying results.

Bugs Bunny (Mage)

That wascally wabbit Bugs Bunny outwits opponents in Multiversus with his trickery. As a Mage, Bugs relies heavily on his dynamite, anvil, and other projectile attacks to deal damage from afar and control space.

Crouching allows Bugs to dodge high attacks with his limbo ability. By dropping explosives from above, Bugs can pressure enemies. His rocket hover gives Bugs great aerial mobility too. Just watch his lackluster defense up close.

Tom and Jerry (Mage)

The classic cat and mouse duo operate as a team in Multversus. Their moveset revolves around synergistic attacks like Jerry riding a rocket triggered by Tom or Jerry tossing an exploding cherry bomb.

When apart, Tom relies on melee swipes and Jerry throws hammers and operates a giant robot suit. Their tennis ball volley attack is great for racking up damage too. Tom and Jerry take coordination between the pair but dominate when in sync.

Garnet (Bruiser)

The powerhouse of the Crystal Gems, Garnet brings her gauntlets and raw strength as a Bruiser. She can unleash charged, dashing punches that devastate enemies caught in their path. Garnet‘s down special generates a radial shockwave explosion as well.

Though strong, Garnet suffers from a slightly limited moveset. She plays best with allies that can set up combos for her to finish. Time your charged attacks properly, and Garnet becomes a real threat.

Harley Quinn (Assassin)

Former psychiatrist turned criminal Harley Quinn dual wields her signature oversized mallet and gun in Multiversus. As an Assassin, Harley uses speed and combos to pin down enemies.

Her lunging hammer attacks can lead into extended juggle combos, while her side special shotgun blast has long range. Harley‘s agility makes her hard to lock down as well. If you can master her move chaining, Harley can zero-to-death opponents ruthlessly.

Superman (Tank)

The Man of Steel himself Superman flies into battle as a Tank. He has best-in-class aerial mobility along with heat vision and freeze breath projectiles. Though risky off-stage, Superman can gimp enemies recovering with ease.

On the ground, his charged punches and grabs make short work of enemies. Passively gaining armor during charged attacks helps Superman dominate exchanges. Just beware his susceptibility to combos – use that flight to avoid juggling.

Finn the Human (Assassin)

From The Land of Ooo, Finn the Human brings his years of adventuring experience as an Assassin. His down air attack meteor smashes enemies while up special gives Finn a rising aerial combo option. His innate coin magnet passive rewards skilled play too.

Unfortunately, Finn lacks reliable kill options outside raw smash attacks. And his sword‘s limited range hinders Finn in exchanges. But with good fundamentals, Finn can overwhelm foes through speed and pressure.

Reindog (Support)

As Multiversus‘ only original character, Reindog serves a pure support role with healing and buffs. His projectile can tether Reindog to allies, letting him siphon their damage when attacking enemies. This makes Reindog extra durable when paired up.

Reindog‘s kit revolves around enhancing his partner‘s effectiveness. His portal allows for repositioning Reindog or his ally as needed. Overall, a selfless Support that works best complementing fighters.

Steven Universe (Support)

A Support role fits Steven Universe perfectly as he protects allies with his magical shields. His bubble shield can absorb enemy attacks while healing Steven and teammates inside.

Steven‘s down air creates a launching platform for teammates to use. And his charged shield throw produces shield platforms that block zones. Staying alive is key to maximize Steven‘s auras and disruption capabilities.

Jake the Dog (Bruiser)

Hailing from Adventure Time, Jake the Dog utilizes his shapeshifting powers in his moveset. He can stretch his limbs for extended melee attacks and his down air meteor smashes enemies. This gives Jake good mobility.

Unfortunately, Jake is somewhat of a jack-of-all-trades Bruiser without many standout strengths compared to others. He doesn‘t have the raw power of Shaggy or Superman. But Jake‘s flexibility enables him to mix up approaches.

Multiversus delivers a diverse cast of iconic characters to master, each with their own playstyle and moves. While this overview gives a taste of each fighter, the only way to truly understand them is to practice and gain experience.
