Devantaka Mountain – The grassy foothills and valleys of this mountain southwest of Vanarana houses groups of Shaggy Sumpter Beasts.

Based on my own adventures, I‘ve found Apam Woods to be the most abundant and reliable place to find these beasts. But keep an eye out across grasslands and forests of southwest Sumeru as you explore.
How to Photograph Shaggy Sumpter Beasts
Now comes the fun part – actually tracking down the Shaggy Sumpters and snapping those photos. Here are some pro tips from my experience on how to photograph the beasts in different states:
1. Equip the Camera
The first thing you need to do is equip your Camera gadget. You likely obtained this special item during the Inazuma Archon quests. If not, follow the Archon questline to get the Camera in your inventory.
Once you have it, equip the Camera to your quick access toolbar for easy use.
2. Stealthily Approach a Resting Beast
Your first photo objective is to capture a Shaggy Sumpter at rest. Search around until you spot one lazily sitting or sleeping under a tree.
Slowly and carefully approach the resting beast, moving quietly and keeping your distance so as not to disturb it. Move to get a good side or front-facing angle.
When you‘re in position, bring up the Camera and snap a picture of the unsuspecting snoozing Sumpter!
3. Catch One Grazing for the Eating Photo
For the second photo, you need to photograph a Sumpter beast in the act of eating. Look for one that is actively grazing on the grass or shrubs.
Again, quietly maneuver closer while keeping out of the creature‘s detection range. Move to get a good broadside view and zoom in the Camera.
Time your picture the moment the Shaggy Sumpter leans down to take a bite of grass. This will capture the perfect "eating" shot.
4. Goad One Into Attacking
For the final photo, you need to catch a Shaggy Sumpter mid-attack. This is where things get a little dangerous!
Approach a passive Sumpter and hit it with your character‘s attacks until it gets angry and aggressive. It will give you a warning roar before charging to ram you with its horns.
As soon as it starts thrashing its head or stamping the ground, activate the Camera and quickly snap a picture of its attack stance.
5. Run Away and Submit the Pics!
After you get the attacking pic, hightail it out of there before the angry Sumpter smashes you! Once you‘re safe, open up the quest log and select the Shaggy Sumpter Beast photography challenge. Pick the option to submit your photos.
If you captured the beasts resting, eating, and attacking, the quest will complete and you‘ll get some Primogems, Mora, resources, and achievement points for your photo album. Nice work!
Tips for Snapping the Perfect Sumpter Shots
