Starting the Quest
First, make sure you‘ve unlocked the Statues of the Seven and Teleport Waypoints in Vanarana.
To begin the quest, head to the Teleport Waypoint north of Vimara Village and talk to Arakavi. She can be found west of the large tree in the center of Vanarana.
Arakavi will explain that the Vasara Tree has become twisted and withered without the nourishing melodies from the holy lyre that were traditionally played for it. Your mission is to find and perform these rhythms to revive the great tree.

Start from the Teleport Waypoint west of Ashavan Realm. Glide down and head north until you reach two young Aranara named Arama and Arasudraka.

Next, walk north to the field of five Sumeru Roses. Stand in the middle of them and turn until all four roses surrounding you light up.
This aligns you in the correct position to observe the melody. Now equip the Vintage Lyre and play the notes "Do, So, So, La, Ti" to mimic the rhythm.
Successfully replicating the melody will fulfil this part of the quest. Pretty simple start!
Step 2: Unlocking the Road Ahead
For the next section, teleport to the Statue of the Seven southeast of the Yasna Monument.
Nearby you‘ll see a twisted, withered tree branch clinging to a cliff ledge. Approach it and use the Vintage Lyre to play the "Rhythm of the Sprout" song using these notes:
"Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, Ti"
Playing the melody will restore the branch to a healthy state and spawn a Dendroganum orbiting around it.
These helpful floating plants are called Dendrograna. They can attach to you for a short time, allowing you to aim and shoot projectiles.
In this case, use the Dendrograna to shoot the floating circular green target above the cliff. Passing through the target will generate a wind current that carries you over to the cave entrance.
Glide down carefully and enter the cave to progress. Nice job finding the second ancient rhythm!
Step 3: Cleansing the Withering Zone
Upon exiting the cave, you‘ll emerge in the Withering Zone, an area poisoned by erosion. Make your way northwest through the shallow toxic water.
Use ranged attacks or abilities to destroy the multiple Withering Branches found here. Once they are all eliminated, a giant Withering Tumor will emerge – defeat it to fully cleanse the zone.
With the area purified, three tree hollows will open up on the walls nearby. Enter the middle hollow and grab the Dendroculus inside to unlock that part of the cave.
This area gave me trouble at first until I realized Dendro attacks were most effective at quickly destroying the branches and tumor.
Characters like Collei, Dendro Traveler, or even Catalyst users like Lisa work well. Come prepared with ranged Dendro options to cleanse the Withering Zone smoothly!
Step 4: Navigating the Vasara Tree‘s Dream
After cleansing the Withering Zone, be prepared for combat before proceeding. The upcoming sections contain very tough enemies.
Make your way through the initial open area, defeating all the Treant Cleaverleaf and Fungin enemies along the way. Then interact with the glowing blue flower near the back wall to open the door to the next section.
Once through, grab one of the Dendrograna to shoot the three vine-encircled floating rings. This will unlock access to the elevator suspended above.
Ride the elevator up and defeat the next wave of Treant Cleaverleaf, Fungin, and Treant Sapskulker enemies. I recommend bringing a strong Pyro character like Diluc or Yanfei to take down their Wooden Shields quickly.
With the enemies dispatched, walk towards the giant glowing flower bulb at the end to enter the inner depths of the Vasara Tree‘s dream.
Exploring the Vasara Tree‘s Inner Dream
This beautiful yet dangerous place is filled with extremely lethal enemies. Proceed carefully and don‘t rush in!
Follow the linear glowing path, defeating any Fungin Brute and Treant Saplurker enemies along the way.
Soon you‘ll reach a blocked door covered in thorny vines. On the left is another withered tree branch – play the "Rhythm of the Sprout" song again using the Vintage Lyre to restore it to health.
This will spawn a Dendrograna that you can use to shoot the large flower blocking the door, removing the vines.
Pass through the door to find the final arena, guarded by an elite Eye of the Storm accompanied by a Ruin Cruiser and Ruin Destroyer.
The Eye of the Storm will constantly pummel you with deadly Aqua Arrows that deal heavy Hydro damage. I strongly recommend bringing a healer like Barbara or Qiqi, as well as a shielder like Noelle or Diona for protection.
Patiently avoid its attacks while taking down the Ruin machines first. The Eye is slow moving but will chase you if you get too far. Stay moderately close while dealing damage to safely take it down.
Once all three foes are defeated, you can finally walk into the glowing portal and escape the harrowing Vasara Tree dream!
Completing the Quest
After exiting the portal, look for the floating Dendro particle. Interact with it to collect the energy released from the Vasara Tree now that you‘ve rebalanced its flows using the ancient melodies.

It has stood for thousands of years, providing lifeblood to the creatures and vegetation of the forest through spreading its nurturing vitality via intricately woven root networks.
According to the Aranara and texts at Vissudha Field, the Vasara Tree grew from a seed planted by greater lord Rukkhadevata in antiquity.
The protective Aranara were born from the droplets of dew formed upon the sprouting seedling‘s leaves. Their purpose was to guard the forests and the great trees that sustained them.
Rukkhadevata ultimately sacrificed herself during the cataclysm 500 years ago, but the Vasara Tree and Aranara lived on. However, without the Archon‘s power, the tree slowly weakened over the centuries.
